3rd INTERNATIONAL RELATION CAMP : OHANA!
Ohana. That is the theme of the Leo International Relationship Camp organized by several Malaysian Leo Clubs last 16-18 December. The camp took place in Eco Dusun, Pahang, Malaysia, and a few members of LCJ Kairos Gracia participated in this fun-filled camp, all the while making new friends with the Malaysian Leos.
Unlike any other camps, this camp uses an economic system, complete with made-up bank notes and stock market. All campers were divided into groups, where they earn "money" when they help out or win games, and spend it for tiny perks such as extra time in a game or other events. The camp itself is fully packed with lots of games and trivia to ensure participation of all campers so no one gets left behind.
All campers would start their day with an invigorating morning exercise, and end it with big events: Fellowship Night on the first, where all campers gather around, sing songs and share experiences; Theme Night on the second, where they have "sketch" — a mini-drama competition between the groups, a pajama fashion show, and not to mention a lively disco party to level up the fun. All the Leos, as well as supervising Lions, had the best of times. They were reluctant to leave behind Eco Dusun and their newfound friends. Some even exchanged their contact details and even their Leo badges to commemorate this event because nationality is not a barrier towards a long-lasting friendship within the Leo "ohana".
